A Virginia paving crew that builds from the ground up
Quality Asphalt paves driveways and parking lots across Central and Eastern Virginia from our base in Richmond. We started in Southwest Florida, around Fort Myers, and brought the same way of working north.

Same name. Same standards. New state.
Quality Asphalt built its reputation one driveway and one parking lot at a time: showing up when promised, explaining the job in plain words, and doing the unglamorous base work that keeps asphalt smooth for years.
The Virginia team brings that approach here, from Richmond out to the Tri-Cities, Williamsburg, the Northern Neck and Southside. The ground is different here, with clay to the west and sand to the east, and freeze and thaw are a more regular concern in winter. So every estimate starts with a look at the ground, the drainage and the traffic the surface will carry.
Most people find a contractor by asking around. We want every driveway and lot we finish in Virginia to do that talking for us.

What we stand for
Four things that don't change
The quotes are from Florida customers on our Facebook page.
01
The base comes first
Every job starts with the ground under it. A smooth surface on a weak base doesn't stay smooth, so that is where we spend our time.
“The attention to detail, the efficiency, the respectful nature of every single person on their staff was unparalleled.”
Amber Williams, on Facebook
02
Straight answers on cost
You hear what the job needs, what it costs and why, before anything starts.
“he was very honest and upfront about costs”
Sandra Forrest, on Facebook
03
On time and respectful
We show up when we say we will, treat your property with care and answer your questions along the way.
“on time, did fantastic work, and was very friendly and honest”
Craig Godwin, on Facebook
04
A clean site
Edges trimmed, debris hauled off and the street swept. The only thing we leave behind is the new asphalt.
“The crew did an excellent and clean job.”
John Gravano, on Facebook
On every estimate
What we look at before we price a job
The part you never see is the part that decides how long the surface lasts. So this is where the estimate starts.
01
Drainage
Where water comes from, where it sits now, and where it needs to go once the surface is paved.
02
The ground
Clay, sand or old fill, and whether the stone or gravel already there can be reused as base.
03
Traffic
Cars, delivery trucks, tractors or RVs. Heavier loads need a deeper base and more asphalt.
04
Edges and transitions
Garage slabs, walkways, the street apron and drains, so the new surface meets each one cleanly.
05
Your options
Repair, resurface or replace, with what each one involves and what it costs, so you can choose.
Who we work for
Homes, businesses and everything in between
Homeowners
New driveways, gravel upgrades, replacements, parking pads and sealcoating.
Businesses
Retail, office, restaurant and bank lots, phased or after hours so you stay open.
Property managers and HOAs
Community roads, apartment lots and shared driveways, with clear scheduling for residents.
Farms and rural properties
Long lanes, equipment pads and drives that see tractors and trucks as well as cars.
